{Event} Polo in the City

I love photographing events. Here's the recent one I completed earlier this year that I haven't had the chance to load. Love the yellows and blues. Which reminds me that I am planning on hosting a 'Biggest Morning Tea' event with photographers, bloggers and creative-at-heart peeps in mind. It will be highly styled so they can instead photograph the event to their hearts content and talk about it in their blogs. It is for a very good cause and we want everyone to know about it. Event is booked for 17 July 2011. Make sure to save that date. More details to come.

{Personal} The meaning of life.

It's been a rough time for the family these past few days and still is now. For the first time we have to talk to Beth about 'heaven' and what it is and what its like there. It was hard but being a 5 year old she seems to take it well.

It made me think 'what is heaven?' Here's my take on what is heaven. I believe it is a place where you get to watch your life in rewind. You get to watch it and you get no choice to turn it on, off or pause it. You get to watch your life as a daily episode. In watching it unfold you will get to experience how you made people happy (or sad for that matter), you get to feel the love (or hate) others felt for you, you get to watch it warts and all. In the period where everyone is sleeping you get to watch the loved ones you left behind on earth and watch how they lead their life.

Heaven is the place where you truly find the meaning of life. So live your life in such a way that you would be proud to watch it all over again.

{Film Photography} Beautiful leaks.

I was playing with double exposure and I panicked because I rewounded the film to the very start and ended up getting all stuck etc. So anyway I was worried that none of the photos will turn out. Instead I had beautiful light leaks and it turned out better than I thought. I'm in love with film. I still have to nail some good exposure.

My favourite!

I've learnt a few things rediscovering film photography. Next lot of film will need to be a little overexposed. I like it a bit brighter. I love love love the grains in film and the anticipation of getting it printed and waiting for the outcome.

A Lookbook with a difference.

There is someting about ballet that makes everything looks so pretty. What a stunning idea for a lookbook. I'm in love.
